Website traffic is what all websites want, however too much traffic can affect website performance if the database solution of that website is poor, or if the hosting solution for that website is inadequate to cope with large volumes of traffic. More traffic can also mean higher bandwidth charges or your website going offline if you have a bandwidth restriction.
Through website statistics programs you can analyse which search engine is supplying you with the most traffic and which search phrases are being used the most to find your website.
